About The Role
As the Chief Engineer, you will oversee all aspects of the hotel's engineering and maintenance operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading and managing the engineering and maintenance team to ensure the upkeep and functionality of all hotel facilities and systems.
• Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs to prolong the life of equipment and reduce downtime.
• Managing the repair and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Overseeing renovation and capital improvement projects, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Managing relationships with external contractors and vendors.
• Providing training and support to staff on maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
The Perfect Candidate
• Proven experience in a senior engineering or maintenance role, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Experience with building management systems (BMS) and energy management systems (EMS).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
